Playing sports as a good opportunity to bond with friends and meet new people while staying fit, at the same time. Since sports involve strenuous physical movement, extra caution must be taken to avoid overexertion and injury.

Stay safe and comfortable with these good sporting habits:
1. Use the right equipment and protective gear tailor-made for your specific sport. Wear proper fitting, shoes to avoid falling or spraining your ankle.
2. Eat right, especially carbohydrates, for energy during your game.
3. However, avoid heavy meals thirty minutes before playing.
4. Warm up before the game. Thirty minutes of stretching will prime up your body for the physical exertion ahead.
5. Keep yourself hydrated. Water, juice or sports beverages are good choices for reducing lost fluids.
