It's good idea to set up your tank and let it sink for a week before you put fish into its new home. If you want your aquatic fishes to grow bigger, provide a bigger tank for them. The bigger the aquarium, the larger your fish will grow.

If you are planning on having several fishes in the tank, don't overcrowd them. Add fish to the tank at a rate of one to two fish. Group fishes by their size (small fishes will be eaten if mixed with big fishes), their preference for the same water chemistry and temperature.
